Mariana Laín

Mariana Laín (1966) was born in Madrid. She earned her degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 1990. Initially, Laín aimed to pursue a career in design, but her passion for painting was discovered after being introduced to it by the photographer Carlos García-Alix. Over the past 20 years, Laín has dedicated herself to painting, illustration, and printmaking, becoming a well-known figure in contemporary Spanish art.

Her paintings are recognized for their emotional depth and vivid use of color, often exploring themes of identity, human experience, and the complexities of the inner world.
