Our Story
At Madame Flihan, we see art as a bridge that unites cultures. Born in Spain and rooted in three generations of creative legacy, our passion now lives in Portugal. From here, we connect artists, collectors and art lovers through a gallery that celebrates diverse forms of artistic expression and honours our heritage.
Heritage and Passion
Since 1990, our family has followed art as both path and compass. As Maria Parra, Senior Curator and Arts Director, recalls: “My father guided us through exhibitions, auctions, and artists’ studios, revealing the soul of art to us.” With deep ties to the contemporary scene especially in Madrid, his insight has shaped our collection and continues to inspire our purpose.
Algarve, where art finds a new light
Choosing the Algarve is both a heartfelt and visionary decision. This region is emerging as a cultural hub, home to a dynamic art scene, vibrant festivals, and a growing global audience.
By establishing our presence in Algarve we connect Portugal, Spain, and the Middle East regions united by shared artistic roots that now converge in one inspiring space.

At MadameFlihan, passion for art and excellence unite a dedicated, knowledgeable team. We are the driving force behind unique experiences for artists, collectors, and our community. Our curatorial body includes the Artistic Director, gallery managers, art advisors, and exhibition coordinators, supported by marketing, events, communications, and legal experts. Behind the scenes, installation and administrative teams ensure the gallery runs flawlessly. Each member brings talent and vision, blending tradition and innovation to create a space where artists thrive, collectors find inspiration, and visitors are welcomed as part of our artistic family.

Khaldoun Flihan
Chief Executive Officer
As the visionary leader of MadameFlihan, Khaldoun Flihan embodies the perfect blend of heritage and modernity. With over 13 years of success in Saudi Arabia and 6 in Spain, he combines a strong academic background with diverse business expertise.
His dynamic entrepreneurial spirit has been key to expanding the gallery from Spain to Portugal, and further to the Middle East and the UAE.
Fluent in Arabic, English, and Spanish, Khaldoun is currently refining his Portuguese.

Senior Curator and Cultural Director
We are honoured to have Maria as our Senior Curator and Artistic Director. A qualified solicitor in Spain and the UK, she expertly navigates the legal and fiscal complexities of the global art market and mentors artists to advance their careers.
Under her visionary leadership, our exhibitions are thoughtfully curated to inspire, reveal emerging talents, and foster dialogue between tradition and innovation. Maria weaves artistic sensibility into the gallery’s core, crafting exhibitions that resonate intellectually and emotionally.
Fluent in Spanish, English, French, and German, she is actively improving her Arabic and Portuguese.
