Nikola Nikolov (also known as Nicolas Nicolav, 1944–2017) was a Bulgarian-Spanish artist whose work bridges the gap between Expressionism and Fauvism. Having spent a significant portion of his career in Spain, particularly in Madrid and the Sierra region, Nikolov developed a distinct visual language characterized by the “abstraction of form”.
